ANGEL GARDEN, ISLINGTON

The Brief: With the high overhanging trellises around its boundaries, this garden in Angel Islington felt small and dark. As a new extension to the house would be taking up more garden, it was vital for the clients to maximise the space they had and improve the views from the house.

The Solution: Working closely with ZDB Architects, the garden design included a reclaimed yorkstone patio area and brick raised planters to help bring the garden right up to the house. The heavy overgrown trellises were replaced with contemporary cedar trellis, helping to open up the space and bring more light into the garden. Bespoke cedar garden storage blends in and the new planting scheme is more in scale and proportion with the garden and adds plenty of colour and seasonal interest.
